Literary narrative.

This novel definetely impacted in my life and also in my engish vocabulary as an student of english as second languague. I know all the events that happened in this novel didn’t happened to me, but if I learned someting about the women of Brewster Place was to always try to keep going even when life is getting hard, this novel helped me to think how I can help others with events that happened to me. This novel also show me that life and people chnages and it’s okay if that happens.

Described on the cover as “a novel in seven stories,” The Women of Brewster Place chronicles the lives of seven black women as they struggle to survive in a rapidly deteriorating neighborhood. Most of the women have arrived at the title setting as a result of influences beyond their control. The wall at the end of the street that prevents through traffic serves as a reminder that their lives here are restricted in ways that even they do not fully understand. As is true of her later novels, Naylor disregards the traditional linear structure. Excerpt from “https://literariness.org/2020/10/08/critical-analysis-of-gloria-naylors-the-women-of-brewster-place/”

In my opinion, it is one of the best books I have ever read, it taught me a lot about self-improvement, that I must fight in life to get what I want, that I must take risks and that if something goes wrong I must continue and never stop me.

TIn addition; this book helped me a lot to understand a very complicated stage of my life, where I was confused about what I would do with my life after graduating from high school because even though my heart wanted something, the opinions of family members and other people stood in my way. .

Thanks to the book “the women of Brewster place” I learned to be determined and strong, and above all I learned to value life, to value those who are with you, and I learned that memories cannot be embraced.
