Annotated bibliography.

Described on the cover as “a novel in seven stories,” The Women of Brewster Place chronicles the lives of seven black women as they struggle to survive in a rapidly deteriorating neighborhood. Most of the women have arrived at the title setting as a result of influences beyond their control. The wall at the end of the street that prevents through traffic serves as a reminder that their lives here are restricted in ways that even they do not fully understand. As is true of her later novels, Naylor disregards the traditional linear structure. Excerpt from “https://literariness.org/2020/10/08/critical-analysis-of-gloria-naylors-the-women-of-brewster-place/”

The way I’m going to use this novel is by writing about it in a literary narrative. This novel definetely impacted in my life and also in my engish vocabulary as an student of english as second languague. I know all the events that happened in this novel didn’t happened to me, but if I learned someting about the women of Brewster Place was to always try to keep going even when life is getting hard, this novel helped me to think how I can help others with events that happened to me. This novel also show me that life and people chnages and it’s okay if that happens. I’m very glad to use this novel to do my literary narrative and my story map.
